Casa da Mulher, da Prefeitura de Nova Iguaçu, ganha novo espaço
Nova Iguaçu tem um novo espaço para o acolhimento de mulheres vítimas de abusos psicológicos, físicos, sexuais e patrimoniais. A Prefeitura, por meio da Superintendência de Políticas para Mulheres (SPM), ligada à Secretaria Municipal de Assistência Social (SEMAS) inaugurou, nesta terça-feira (12), a nova Casa da Mulher, no Centro. O equipamento também vai atender as mulheres que desejem participar das atividades realizadas no local.
“A Casa da Mulher agora está agora em um prédio com capacidade de fornecer mais acessibilidade e segurança para as mulheres atendidas por seus serviços. A importância da Casa da Mulher está na abrangência de seu atendimento, permitindo que todas as mulheres iguaçuanas possam participar das ações que realizamos aqui”, afirma Miriam Magali, Superintendente de Políticas para Mulheres.
Além de todo o suporte jurídico, psicológico e social, a Casa da Mulher também oferece grupos de apoio para mulheres que tiveram câncer de mama, rodas de conversa para mães, passeios culturais, oficinas de artesanato e defesa pessoal, além de outros serviços.
A Casa da Mulher fica na Avenida Nilo Peçanha 476 e funciona de 9h às 17h, de segunda a sexta-feira.
